How long will Ubuntu users have to wait to upgrade?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img alt=\"Road sign reading \"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Ubuntu developer Canonical has decided to push back the &#8220;point release&#8221; of Ubuntu 22.04 to August 11, 2022, due to a bug affecting the ability to install Snap packages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"quot-unexpected-issue-quot-with-oem-installations\">&#8220;Unexpected Issue&#8221; With OEM Installations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Senior software engineer \u0141ukasz Zemczak explained the issue in a message to Ubuntu&#8217;s developer&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/lists.ubuntu.com\/archives\/ubuntu-devel\/2022-August\/042247.html\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">mailing list<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p>During testing of our 22.04.1 release candidates, we were made aware of an unexpected issue regarding the OEM Installation feature of our Ubuntu Desktop installer images.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>The issue affects installations that were done by PC manufacturers offering Ubuntu preinstalled.
